-
- We use Shopify Planet to make our shipping carbon-neutral by funding innovative companies that pull carbon dioxide (CO2) out of the atmosphere and store it. Right now, the money we give with each shipment goes to funds a mix of nature-based carbon removal and innovative solutions, such as direct air capture and mineralization & funds compagnies (more information here).
-
- Since we're located in British Columbia, we ship orders only to Canada and USA, to keep the shipping emission as low as possible & encourage buying "local".
-
- We continually educate ourselves on the latest environmental news in the book industry by watching conferences, reading articles and doing training.
-
- Our in-store Gift Cards are made of plantable seed paper, and can be planted after use.
-
- We offer gift wrapping from kraft paper previously used as paper filings from our book deliveries.
-
- We don't return any new books to the publishers (free return on new books is an harmful practice that most bookstores often do), so we only order small quantities of new books at a time.
Please note that we are constantly working on improving our environmental ways and will keep this page updated as much as possible.
