« My Aunt is a Monster » by Reimena Yee

I’m a big fan of Reimena Yee’s work.

This story is about Safia, a blind girl who dreams of becoming an adventurer 🧳🗺️

When she loses her parents, she has to go live with her aunt (whom she never met) who’s one of the world’s greatest adventurer but also…a monster.

Not the mean kind, but the mythological kind 🐉

Together they have to jump into a new adventure in order to try and save her aunt’s legacy.

I like how original and interesting the story was. I loved the diversity in characters and the inclusive content regarding gender that the author put in her works every time.

There’s also a small section at the end of the book that explain Reimena Yee’s creative process and how she created the book.

It makes you appreciate her work even more !

Monster, magic and adventure = the perfect happy fall read 🍂
